Some art styles come and go. Some art materials come and go. But others are here to stay…and they belong to Massimo Lunardon.
Chances are that you’ve never seen anything quite like the pieces of this Italian glassworks. Lunardon’s career has always been about challenging the technical limits of glass, working it in to spectacular images and forms alive with rich, intense colour.
In 1996, he created the Massimo Lunardon company as a place for artists to come together and create professional glass objects. The result is a vibrant range of art glass that will leave you quite lost for words. They are, in the very sense of the word, exceptional…and in this case, totally unique.
Why should a decanter be shaped like a bottle? Massimo Lunardon have turned the concept of the common carafe and the decanter on its head, with their colourful range of fine glass decanters in all shapes and sizes. The Medusa Decanter is an otherworldly, jellyfish-like vessel created using a glass technique known as lamp working, where primarily a torch is used to shape the glass. And to make the Medusa Decanter even more unique, it’s a very limited edition piece, with only ninety-nine pieces released!
If you consider yourself a person of unique, inexplicable taste…consider Massimo Lunardon.
